Ganache Disaster - Please Help!

I didn't let my ganache set long enough before covering my cake and now I am wondering if I can put fondant over it still?
The cake has been in the fridge overnight also due to hot humid weather.
Did I wreck it completely or is it saveable? It is carved out to be an x box cake so the shape doesn't make sense without the fondant.
I only have about 4 hours after work to make a new one if need be.
Please help!!
Was it too soft? Did it set up after you used it on the cake, since you say its been in the fridge? I really can't answer your question. I've worked with ganache but haven't had that problem. Just the same I would be really scared to try. Worried that the fondant would tear off as the ganache softens.

I let the cake sit on the counter for while with a small fan blowing on it before putting it in the fridge. It did thicken quite a bit once cool but I was told to let my cakes return to room temp before putting on fondant, so I am scared the heat will make it soft again Can I put fondant on a cake straight out of the fridge?
I do but when they have buttercream, not ganache. They I let them sit out. Try it and see how soft it gets. If too soft you won't be able to put fondant on it.

You fondant the chilled cake? I might as well try it and if it doesn't work I will make a new one and use this one for cake pops.
