A I have been in business for about two years but I have gotten cupcake orders I finally got my first cake order and it's a penis I am so nervous I do not know where to start. I'm getting the penis shaped pan and I really don't know how that's going to turn out.... Can someone please help to Tutoria - pictures - suggestions I don't know....
I would try with fondant that way you get a nice smooth finish. I know that wilton carries a flesh toned coloring.
Maybe paint by hand any small details or airbrush if you have a machine.
Google has tons of images to give you ideas.
Hope this helps,
I had one of these last year. And I can tell you it generated the most traffic on my blog than any other posting. I immediately had 3 orders for one. I took it off the blog but here is a link to the photo

It was red velvette flavor with cream cheese icing, and chocolate fondant. I used a pan for the basic shape, and to give it some detail, i used stiff (no pun intended) icing underneath certain areas. It really was not difficult at all. For a lighter tone, you can use white fondant with copper color to get a flesh tone.

Thanks for the tips I do plan on using fondant because I think that is the only way it would look a little smooth
I don't recall exactly. It was supposed to be free, since it was a coworker. I think she gave me about $40 and she had bought the pan. You don't get a lot of servings from this. So i would price it by time, supplies and effort versus servings.
I made a penis cake using a 9 x 13 sheet cake & an 11 x 15 sheet cake. I cut the 11 x 15 sheet cake in half lengthwise & laid the halves end to end. I used the 9 x 13 sheet cake for the testicles by carving & shaping. I also filled out the head end with cake scraps. I covered the whole thing in buttercream, then laid twizzlers down to create a veined look & then covered with flesh toned fondant. I also used tootsie rolls which I pinched pieces off & rolled into thin strips & curled to give the appearance of pubic hair on the testicles. This cake was so fun to make but wound up being a TON of cake (the cake board I used was an actual stop sign that had been cleaned & covered in foil). Where I messed up was trying to "paint" a blueish color over the "veins" with food color... if I had to do it again, I would leave off that step. I'll show you mine if you show me yours. http://cakecentral.com/g/i/2090555/a/2091555/the-birthday-girl-asked-for-it-she-got-it-d-sorry-to-those-who-may-be-offended-by-this-cake-its-chocolate-cake-w-chocolate-frosting-covered-in-marshmallow-fondant-tootsie-rolls-were-used-for-the-hair-twizzlers-were-the-veins-along/#order=1&albumId=2091555&nextId=false&prevId=false&imageId=2090555&imageESOId=312686&fullUrl=%2Fg%2Fi%2F2090555%2Fa%2F2091555%2Fthe-birthday-girl-asked-for-it-amp-she-got-it-d-sorry-to-those-who-may-be-offended-by-this-cake-it-039-s-chocolate-cake-w-chocolate-frosting-amp-covered-in-marshmallow-fondant-tootsie-rolls-were-used-for-the-quot-hair-quot-amp%2F%2F&fullSrc=http%3A%2F%2Fcdn001.cakecentral.com%2Fe%2Fea%2F900x900px-LL-eadd469d_gallery7638371309983791.jpeg&thumbSrc=http%3A%2F%2Fcdn001.cakecentral.com%2Fe%2Fea%2F50x50px-ZC-eadd469d_gallery7638371309983791.jpeg&description=The+Birthday+Girl+asked+for+it+%26amp%3B+she+got+it!+%3AD%0D%0ASorry+to+those+who+may+be+offended+by+this+cake.+%0D%0A%0D%0AIt%26%23039%3Bs+chocolate+cake+w%2F+chocolate+frosting+%26amp%3B+covered+in+marshmallow+fondant.+Tootsie+rolls+were+used+for+the+%26quot%3Bhair%26quot%3B+%26amp%3B+twizzlers+were+the+%26quot%3Bveins%26quot%3B+along+w%2F+a+little+food+coloring+painting+to+make+it+a+little+more+%26quot%3Blifelike%26quot%3B.+It+was+definitely+a+fun+cake+to+make.&original=http%3A%2F%2Fcakecentral.com%2Fimage%2Fid%2F312686&setName=&urlSlug=the-birthday-girl-asked-for-it-amp-she-got-it-d-sorry-to-those-who-may-be-offended-by-this-cake-it-039-s-chocolate-cake-w-chocolate-frosting-amp-covered-in-marshmallow-fondant-tootsie-rolls-were-used-for-the-quot-hair-quot-amp

If you go into the cake talk forum there is a section about naughty cakes. In there you will find a thread and a link to youtube about how to making an ejaculating penis cake. You probably aren't thinking about making something this elaborate but it is rather funny.
