The syrup just made Antonia's RI a bit more like Toba's glaze; it takes longer to dry but it's softer on the inside and still stackable The icing dries hard enough on top and won't stick to cello bags.
Nikki, I sent the recipe to your email. Vonnie, I added only a few tablespoons of water to the RI while mixing and then 4 T of maple syrup to give it flavor.
These look beautiful!!! I am new to cookie decorating, but have done lots of cakes, I would love your recipe for these. [email protected] THANKS!! Nikki D :D
These sound so good - how did you change the recipe to add the maple syrup?
sounds so delicious! please share the recipe for the spice cookies! (i think i have my thanksgiving cookie bouquet idea!)

These are beautiful.... Did adding the maple syrup change the consistency of the icing? Did it still dry hard?
