I used a logo on a baseball cap as my reference, used a toothpick to draw an impression on the cake then filled in in with stars. Around the side I lettered "Go Wolfpack ?". I added the ? instead of an "!" because I went to a rival college.
I used the Wilton train pan. To make gold icing in used Wilton golden yellow and added orange until I was satisfied with the color
I took this to a MOPS ( Mothers of Preschoolers) meeting and all of the moms loved it. It could be a birthday cake, too. There are flowers on the side, too. I uploaded another pic of it.
This was my first 3D cake for my son's second birthday. He loves dogs. I used a 3D mini bear pan for the dog and a cupcake to make the fondant bowl. A couple of dog bone sugar cookies were added for that backyard buried bone effect.
