I made this for my Grandson who just turned 7! The Minion was a dark chocolate cake, with cookies-n-cream filling, and covered in chocolate ganache. The birthday cake was a strawberry cake with strawberry buttercream and the present was Rice Krispie Treats.

As soon as I saw the tutorial by Yener’s Way for making chocolate flowers, I knew I wanted to give it a try. Since I had some colored candy melts at home, I decided to use them. Decided to try making the petals look veined and this is what I came up with. This is dessert for a family dinner tomorrow. Vanilla cake, drizzled with a mix of coffee & rum, filled with mascarpone & lady fingers.
