Stone Effect, Roses And Football Team
This was interesting to make, birthday cake for 18. b-day of a young lady, who is a football fan. Make it purple, put something about that football club, some flowers, and write “I am proud of you” on that cake, her mother said. Well, what a homework! And there was my chance to try stone effect on a cake for the first time
12x18" chocolate fudge cake with buttercream icing. Used 3 shades of dusty pink in the roses. First time using the rose cutter that you fold in half lengthwise and "roll" up. Brushed with shimmer dust.
The Roses Are Red, The Lilies Are White.
A very romantic vintage style cake for a young couple. The lovely bride wanted a floral cake and pointed out one of my vintage style cake as inspirations. I made the design and she was pleased. This one was absolutely within my comfort zone... my kind of cake! Once I finished I thought McKinley Wilton will be proud of me! White cake frosted and filled in buttercream. Roses, lilies and greenery in fondant. Piping in buttercream.
Funetti cake with pink buttercream. Gumpaste roses and peony and fondant decorations. Inspiration from JENLA Cake.
This cake was a happy accident for me. I wanted to hand carve the ganache, embedding roses all over. I didn’t like it so decided to ganache over it, which resulted in some of the carving being exposed. I loved it so I kept it and added more details. The flowers are wafer paper. I liked the contrast between the dainty flowers and the rough concrete finish. The cake is for my son-in-law who, though rough around the edges, loves flowers and pretty things ❤️
