As soon as I saw the tutorial by Yener’s Way for making chocolate flowers, I knew I wanted to give it a try. Since I had some colored candy melts at home, I decided to use them. Decided to try making the petals look veined and this is what I came up with. This is dessert for a family dinner tomorrow. Vanilla cake, drizzled with a mix of coffee & rum, filled with mascarpone & lady fingers.
The flowers are handcrafted with gum paste. The top tier is covered with fondant and hand painted. The second tier from top is Bass Relief. I made a kind of puzzled with small flowers of different molds then I painted in gold The third tier is marveled fondant with some gold leaf appliqués The second tier from the bottom was covered with fondant, gold leaf and gold sugar lace The bottom tier was marveled fondant with gold sugar lace.
