Wine Bottle
This was the first of all of my wine bottles, it was for a party themed, "whining about being 50". It was a CASC cake carved from a sheet cake, covered in fondant with green luster dust painted on top. Fondant labels with print-outs on top. Cheese was cake balls covered in fondant and knife was carved fondant, real grapes were placed around the bottle at the party.
Great cake! What color fondant did you use for the bottle?
I started with a dark green fondant, and then painted it with the luster dust.

Thank you for the info, Another question if you don't mind...how did you do the labels?My husband is catering a party for a women who owns a winery and he thought it would be great for me to do a wine bottle cake of one of he favorite wines.Your label looks alot more professional then just painting it on.
No problem at all. The label is a piece of fondant with a photo paper picture attached with corn syrup. I made sure the fondant was larger than the paper and painted the side with gold luster dust.
