Marie And Matt's Western B-Day Cake
Made this birthday cake for fourteen year old twins. They loved it! It was my first 3-d cake also my first time working with fondant ( as if you couldn't tell). It was one of the most enjoyable cakes I've ever done. I hope it will become a popular request. I can't see why not, I live in the western US where hats like this are much more common place than you'd think. Thanks for Looking. Any and all tips would be most welcome!

hey how did you do the middle of the cake my son is having a harves hoe down and we want to enter a cowboy hat cake for the cake walk..
The cake was made using the wilton oval pans. The lower layer was filled and the top layer I carved to make the hat shape. Then buttercream and MMF. Good Luck!
