Honor Our Veterans
This cake was made for Memorial Day, but the flag could be used for 4th of July. The flag is piped in buttercream. The flag pole is fondant which I tried to cover with Wilton shimmer dust before I knew about luster dust!! The roses are buttercream and the bows are fondant.
I printed one out from the web, then cut out just the stripes and laid it on the cake and traced it with a toothpick. Then I freehanded the stripes after having the outline.
