First Doll Cake
I was going to make a doll cake for my husband's (our) niece's 5th Birthday; they were visiting us from Connecticut for Thanksgiving. I was going to take a chance making the cake in a mixing bowl. Michael's had a 40% coupon that week and my husband brought the Wonder-mold pan for me the night before they came! This is the result. I started icing it 1 hour before they were due and did a very quick job with the start tip. Oh well! It looked OK, I think. Royal icing flowers from class II came to the rescue !

Very pretty, I will be my 1st doll cake as well on the 30th of this month. Wish me luck!
You did a great job! It looks great.
Thanks for the comments! Good luck Firstlady! :) I forgot to add that I also have one layer of 8" round cake at the bottom: I wasn't sure whether just the wonder-mold cake was enough to feed everyone. I just add some respberry preserves in between the two cakes to hold it together.
Beautiful details along the bottom.... NIce work!!
