WOW!!!!!! This is so beautiful! It is definitely going in my favorites. How did you get the pearl strands to hold up on the sides?

CajunDaisy I used RI to adhere them to the cake. Put sterlised pins in to hold while thry dried then slipped them out. It was quite a mission as the weight tried to pull them down.

I usually prefer cakes with flowers ... but WOW this cake is just beautiful!! I have a wedding coming up and thier colors are black and white ... I think I just found the cake I am going to "talk them into" :D

agreed very gorgeous; also going in my faves :) I did a wedding cake years back with beadwork on it also for a trim and I hot glued some toothpics on certain set beads then poked them in the cake to hold them in place.

Thank you all for your encouraging comments.Ms Innes the ring box was a polystyrene square shape covered in fondant and the lid was done the same. The rings were ones that I bought and just pushed them into the fondant while it was soft so they would stand up.
