Sculped "banana split" cake I made for my mom and 2 year old
son for their upcoming birthdays. They really got a kick out of it! Thank you
ellepal for being so kind as to let me replicate the design. KimAZ and agagnier have also created similar cakes that I also used as inspriation.
Fiddlesticks: Yes, you have to warm the candy melts completely. I added a little veg oil to make it a little thinner and I put it into a parchment bag and squirted out the "toppings." I sometimes had to push the drips with the tip of the bag to get the effect.
This is a cake I really want to try can you send me a little info on the structure of the cake. any info would be appreciated. Thank you in advance [email protected]

:) I absolutely love this cake! You did a wonderful job on it, so realistic. How many servings do you get out of it? What size pan for the 'bowl'? Do you carve out the center to make room for the ice cream? Details pretty please.
I would say it would feed about 12. I used a 1 layer small oval (wilton) for the bowl. The balls are the mini ball pan. I had to carve them down a little bit to fit. I did not carve the bowl out.
