I LOVE this beach cake! I have seen many, and the "sand" makes this stand out against the others in a wonderful way. Very nice job, especially for your first wedding cake! Gives me inspiration to try one!

Great Job!! You must have spent hours crushing the waffers. I take the easy road and use brown sugar(little lazy now and then).

Thanks everyone, I actually just used the food processor to crush up the vanilla waffers, much faster that way--I'm to lazy to do it the hard way.

thank you everyone. I actually bought 2 different brands of the cookies so the colors would be a little different. One brand was darker than the other. Put them in a bowl and mixed together so it would look more sand like. I bought the molds online and tried to get the most accurate size I could. Just luster dusted them with copper and lavender colors and the luster dust is what made them look good. Thanks again, I'll make sure to pm anyone with questions.
