Hi everyone , the way i do cakes can be kind of hard to explain but here goes. The deer head is basiclly just stacked round pound cake I think these are 9 inch ( I have a real deer head hanging in my den it is mine not my hubbys) when I fell the neck is high enough I put supports in it and put a foamcore board about the shape of his head kind od oblong ,then I stack pound cake ontop of that then I hammer wooden dowels in the head and freeze it for a while. Then I just carve it in the shape of the deerhead.
the foamboard part--didn't understand that--email me at [email protected] with all the instructions if you don't mind--got a bride wanting a deer for her Sept wedding
