Stargazer Lillies

Stargazer Lillies on Cake Central

Some of the lillies were made of choc. and some with fondant. It was so humid and the fondant wasn't holding it's shape, so I made some with choc. and they did much better. The cake is iced in vanilla carmel buttercream, and had a choc ribbon at the base of both cakes. There were also edible pearls going down the front of the top cake but you can't see them. I learned to use less real butter in my icing on humid days. The cake was melting away!!

Bridal Shower. Thank you your comments mean a lot. I was crazed from this cake. It was so humid I had to scrape all the original decorations off and start all over.

Wow, I have never seen a negative comment on this site before. The person who said that is probably just jealous of your talent. I love the color of the top cake, how did you do it?

Thank you very much for your kind words. I used regular buttercream icing and refridgerated it for about 30 min. (until set). Then I put brown gel food coloring and copper luster dust in a bowl and watered it down. I then used a sponge and dotted the color on. Again thank you. :)
