Wow! I am supposed to make this exact same cake next week! Same colors and everything! lol, what did you use as the top? I was thinking about using white chocolate and tinting it since I don't use fondant.
I used fondant for the top, but only because I wasn't sure I could match white chocolate with the buttercream that's on the rest of the cake. If I'd have had the time, I'd have tested coloring white chocolate first. The fondant cracked as I was putting it on, so I ended up putting a very thin layer of bc over it.
