thank you all so much for the great comments. it was quite easy surprisingly. the darker shade of pink is fondant. then i went to the store and found the liner that you use in drawers in a lace design and put that over the fondant, then held the "lace" in place while spread buttercream over it and then scraped off as much of the buttercream off as i could, waited a few minutes then pulled away the "lace". and it worked wonderfully. i was very surprised on how easy it was and how well it worked.
