Basket Weave
I did this cake in August 2005 for my niece and it was the first wedding cake I did in over 10 years. The main cake is 16 X 8, and the four side cakes are 10 square with 6 round. It is all traditional white cake with white icing except the 16 round, which was an iced styrofoam dummy. The vines are silk and the lilies were made from gum paste. The sides of each square cake was all basket weave, while the round cakes have some basket weave in a draping formation.

Thanks for the comments! It would have fed over 300 if the 16 wasn't styrofoam, but it was really done for "show" because we only had about 40 people at the wedding. So everybody got a big piece of cake and a lot of people took some home with them.
