Easter - The Greatest Day In History

This was my Easter cake in 2015. Easter is my favourite holiday, and a few years ago I decided to make an annual cake. This cake was in celebration of Jesus' death and resurrection, and his work on the cross.

On the side of the cake I used hearts with crosses on them to symbolize people who have put their trust in Jesus to forgive them. I put the hearts on a clothes line because He can wash away our sins.

The idea for the cake came from Tim Hughes song, Happy Day. Here are some of the lyrics:

The greatest day in history Death is beaten, You have rescued me Sing it out, Jesus is alive

The empty cross, the empty grave Life eternal, You have won the day Shout it out, Jesus is alive He's alive

Oh, happy day, happy day You washed my sin away Oh, happy day, happy day I'll never be the same Forever I am changed
