VERY cool, did you create the design? I love the Hulk hand coming out of the top! Wish I knew how to work with fondant! I have no patience for it though LOL. I've attempted a few times but just can't quite figure it out.

I STINK at covering cakes in fondant, @Ally87. I do enjoy making decorations out of it, though!

the customer sent me that design and I just tweaked it a smidge, I think the hulk hand smashing through the cake is super popular right now...

also, WHY don’t i remember to take pics of my cakes before I deliver them?!?!

Ally87...not a stupid question at all..because I really didn’t create the overall design! Usually I would give credit but I have no idea where it came from or who made it!

Thank you, @BettyA! The whole time I was making that hand i was thinking..”How does SandraSmiley sculpt ENTIRE PEOPLE!!! That look so LIFELIKE!!!” :)

This is a fantastic cake, MerMadeBakedGoods!  I would be as proud as punch if it was my creation.  You and Betty are making me blush.  I was just born with enough artistic ability to help me with sculpting.  It sure as heck doesn't help me with fondant (I am horrible at it too) and piping!

Oh, poo @SandraSmiley... I don’t believe that for a second! Your “just enough artistic ability” is more than 50 other peoples’ skills put together! I bet you can pipe like a champ! I do agree with you when ur comes to fondant... I have NEVER been able to cover a cake perfectly and it drives me bonkers. As I tell my students, though, practice makes progress. That...and I just pray my customers would rather stick with buttercream ;).

You are giving me far too much credit, MerMadeBakedGoods, especially when it comes to piping!  My latest favorite thing is ganache.  I can actually make it pretty and smooth and I've never had to worry about it sagging or bulging.  I pretty much hate fondant, especially eating it.  I do love buttercream and am finally (FINALLY) getting the hang of making it pretty and smooth with nice straight edges.  Honestly though, I prefer rustic buttrcream.
