Wedding Full Sheet Cakes.

These cakes were the most stressful thing ive ever done. As a home, and very very new baker, I didnt know a lot of things. Like that a full size sheet pan doesnt fit in an oven. Cake boards and boxes are impossoble to find. That trying to make 40 cups of frosting in your moms tiny artisan kitchen aid takes literally 12 hours. That sometimes cakes just fall. That if you make decorating buttercream with just shortening your beautifully tedious flowers will never harden. Haha. But all was well. <3. And i got them there! 4 different flavored 18x24 sheet cakes. French Vanilla , dark chocolate. Both with vanilla buttercream, and carrot and red velvet , both with cream cheese buttercream. Lord have mercy.

Wow I think you did a fantastic job! I've only had to make 1/2 sheet cakes. Yours came out great! How did you bake the full size in your oven? I like how you scored the one sheet cake. What kind of frosting recipe is that? I love how it looks on the cakes.

Thank you!! I did half sheets and frosted them together. It is a regular decorators buttercream 1c butter 1 c shortening 2lb bag of powdered sugar 1 tsp vanilla 1 tsp almond and 1 c heavy whipping cream. :)
