This is just a simple rich fruit cake, covered with marzipan and fondant. My penguins (and all my figures, really) seem to lean backwards. I've realised that this is because the surface I'm using to make them on is too low, so I'm always working from above. The snow on top is royal icing just smeared over the cake, and small lumps of fondant were stuck to the board before covering it to give a "moguls" effect.
