This is a faux cake to be presented at a silent auction in our hospital to fund new anesthesia equipment hence the certificate0. It stands just a little over a foot tall and the baroque frame and other elements were hand painted gold. The roses were made using the JEM rose cutter and the easy rose maker by Wilton. I made the stand from a metal candle holder and glass candle stand from the Dollar Tree spray painted gold. You would think a faux cake would be way easier to complete, I was surprised it took the same amount of time as a real cake lol But then again I'm a perfectionist so go figure.
