Happy holidays! And that means Christmas decorating.

I was commissioned by one of Zurich's most widely read magazines to make a cake for their special edition Christmas issue. This was one of the ideas I had and the wreath made of gold chains was inspired by fashion. I saw that one of the editors was working in the lifestyle section and I was instantly inspired to incorporate what looks like a Chanel purse strap as the backdrop to my wreath. I softened the design with a playful teddy bear in the middle of the wreath and added some warmth with a few red poinsettia flowers and berries. As I am a minimalist this makes the perfect simple design: a funky sweet little Christmas cake.
