This was a 50th birthday cake for my neighbor and the best mechanic ever! Three Stacked 9 x 11 cakes covered with buttercream and glazed with red mirror glaze with some black thrown in to give it that "greasy" look. The tools are made from a fondant and molded and the lid is another 9 x 11 cake on a cake board, that I propped up with dowel rods. The front also has some fondant embellishments on it to make it look like a Snap-On tool box. It was a bit precarious, but fortunately this one didn't have to leave the house.
