Camping Themed Birthday Cake
I am a bit behind in posting cakes. I made this tent one back in April for a camping themed party. I wasn't 100% satisfied when it was done but the birthday girl was happy with it so that is what counts, right? The fly gave me grief, just could not get it to look right. In the end I cheated and placed a thin piece of cardboard under it to try and keep the shape of it. The ropes are wire, everything else is fondant.

It is fabulous and using the cardboard is not cheating (who is going to eat a big sheet of fondant anyway?!), it is being creative!
