My first time making roses and carnations out of gumpaste. I used a recipe to make my own gumpaste. I can't remember which it was, but was happy with the results and the money saved!
They look great, @imarpet. I always make my own and after trying several recipes and even using the famous Platinum Paste, my favorite is Nicholas Lodge's recipe. I can roll my petals almost as thin as with Platinum Paste and it seems to be slightly stronger.
That name sounds familiar.i bet its the guy I use.ill know tomorrow when I Google the recipe and look for the video I recognize lol.ive never heard of platinum paste. I took 5 years off so I've missed a lot but I love how nice and thin i I can roll the gumpaste I use too.
