I loved the cake on the front of the Cake Masters Magazine June 2016. A friend at church was celebrating her 80th birthday, so I decided to do my version of the cake for 80 people. The original was made by Liz Marek, one of my favorite cake artist. The top layer is covered with homemade fondant. The bottom layer I iced with butter cream. It was fun learning to make the coconut draping fern.
