The Hamsa Hand is an ancient Middle Eastern amulet symbolising the Hand of God (known as Hand of Fatima and Hand of Miriam). It's a common symbol in both Muslim and Jeeish communities. In all faiths it is a protective sign. It brings its owner happiness, luck, health and good fortune. I especially picked up these cookies as my first entry to Cake Central because of the meaning they possess.
