JulesBe - I used foam core board between the fondant and used melted white chocolate to seal it to the cake prior to decorating. Hope this helps. Thanks!

Ask away...I don't mind helping! I made the lid the beginning of the week (cake was delivered on a Saturday). Make sure to cut board a bit smaller to allow for the fondant covering and trim work. I based it off of the suitcase cake tutorial by Lauren Kitchens on Craftsy. The class is "Modeling Chocolate Magic" and she makes a vintage suitcase.  The lid was self supporting, I added the sugar bottles at the end, after the sugar ice and fish. The fish are based on a tutorial by Liz Marek of SugarGeek (she's amazing). Let me know if you have any more questions and good luck!

I used Isomalt for both the bottles and the ice cubes. I made both the bottles and the cubes the day before delivery. I went through 2 batches of the clear Isomalt to get a good, clear result. The first batch yellowed on me, so annoying!

Cake is Awesome!! I have an order for a tan Yetti cake. My last tan Yetti cake, I was not happy with the color. Have you done a tan one before and if so how did you achieve the right tan coloring?
