1St Sell Cake

1St Sell Cake on Cake Central

After I posted I was starting custom cakes I had a last minute order for a batman cake, she sent me a picture of what they liked. I told her I'd be able to do it so I did. There's 3 layers of white cake on bottom, and two layers of chocolate cake on top. Instead of icing the background I made my home made fondant died it sky blue and rolled it out to fit the cakes. Made another batch died part of it black for the bat, and part yellow for the for behind the bat and under batman. After everything was applied I made some more frosting (between the time I made my son's cake and got this order I found a recipe that came out right) then piped on the buildings, the border for the top layer and piped on the windows. I was nervous the customer wasn't going to like it, or something was going to go wrong on the way to deliver cake. When I pulled the cake out of the car the mom loved it, she said it looked amazing, and bigger then what she thought it would be, her son seen it and he couldn't stop staring at it, they both posted on my fb page about how amazing the cake looked, then after eating it they complimented me on how amazing it tasted. Sense 3 days ago I've got 10 orders, this month is booked with another batman cake, walking dead cake, and a hot wheels cake. I sent my aunt a picture of this cake and she said I was good for just starting, gave me some tips on how to do a few things, and told me I undercharged for this cake (charged $40) I've upped my prices sense figuring out how much I spend on ingredients and time I spend on it, plus how many tiers it'll have and I've still yet to have someone say no. Any tips would be appreciated :)
