Disaster Of A Croquembouche on Cake Central

So this looks pretty good, but after 4 hours the cream puffs started falling off!! Does anyone know what could have caused this? I was thinking that maybe the wet raspberries moistened the sugar, or the cream puffs were too soft or too heavy, so gravity took over, but honestly I thought that dried hot sugar was like cement!
