My son wanted a Baymax cake for his big 6th birthday this year..(omg, my baby is 6!! :( ) I sketched this out, and after the look on his face, knew it was the one i had to make :). My first try at suspending a cake in the air.. (I really just needed an excuse to try it ;) ). Made a sheet cake, cut out a piece that would fit over the top board, and carved his body out. The rest of the cake was cut and pieced together to make the city below. Piping gel water, fondant roads and trees, painted cake board, wafer paper banner.. had a lot of fun watching this one come together, and am very pleased with how it turned out!
