This is SO adorable. I still say that many times less is more. To me this cake is just as attractive, perhaps even more so than one with a couple dozen figures and toppers and stuff stuck all over it. I just love this. Do you remember what mat you used to achieve the "woven" pattern on the hat itself? I love the braids going down the sides. Who knew all those years ago when I used to braid my hair as a little girl that skill would come in handy 50 years later in decorating cakes.....Then the top, the "stem" to me looks like a folded type of "rose" with scallop edges. Once again, this was brilliant and keep up the good work.
