This is a rainbow trout cake I made for my husband's birthday. The cake is chocolate with vanilla buttercream. The fish is covered in fondant. The fins are made from fondant. I hand-painted it using food colors. The board is also made out of fondant and is made to look like real wood with a brass nameplate.
