As a kid and even now, I was fancied by the wonderful world of Enid Blyton Stories. My most favourite of all time being "The Faraway Tree" and series. This cake is based upon this very story.

Located in an Enchanted forest, The Faraway tree is gigantic with the topmost branches touching the clouds. It has small houses carved in its trunk inhabited by different magical creatures - Moon-Face, Saucepan Man, Dame Washalot, the angry pixie and many others.

In order to keep the cake size restricted and not make it look out of proportion, the characters had to be modelled about 1 inch in size. This was the biggest challenge of all!
