Hey guys, thanks, yeah these bad boys where very fun to do, but from icing and filling to covering in fondant, and then adding all the accents and doing the bows, just for these 12 minis it took anywhere from 4-6 hrs. (plus I am slow, so you may minis time if you are fast). The mini pan is an all in one two tier pan, top is 2" and bottom is 3".

Thanks for all the details - and I'm not surprised they took that long....minis are time consuming, hence you need to charge big $$.

Thanks for the lovely commments; justfrosting, I found the pans at my local cake supply store, but I have seen two tier pans online, maybe if you google mini pans they will come up. Babynewyear, not fully understanding the ques. in regards to cooking they cook through nicely since they are small pans.

Oh wow, you are soo talented, your mini cakes look perfect!! I think it is harder to cover a mini tier with fondant than a bigger one, any advice on how to´s? You did great, they are flawless!!

What a lucky 9 year old! I'm asking for these for my birthday! hehehe. Absolutely perfect on the detailing. The 4-6 hrs for the dozen is exactly why I decided against making these for my wedding favors and using cookies instead. I just couldn't do 150 mini cakes, as bad as I wanted them. BRAVO!!!!!

THanks alot for lookin, the bows were very tiny and time consuming but I was pleased in the end, sometimes I am cursing things like that, but this one wasn't bad:)

These are beautiful! I just did 40 1 layer 3 inch mini cakes covered in fondant. How in the world did you get your fondant smooth over the 2 inch cake and then the 3 inch one? Are they covered separately and the ribbon hides the seam. please pm me with directions, I am really starting to like the mini cake as mine were a HUGE hit this morning! Thanks

thanks, it all depends what work we do on them, we do them by the dozen, and we have a limit of no more than 100 minis. I can make a guess, but I think these ones were $8 ea.

Janp1, I am in the same boat. They take a lot more time than a reg. cake, so I charge more. I have a maximum order of 100. I think depending on the work on each is how we charge, by low, med, and high dec. I think on average, we charge anywhere from $7-$9. per mini.

Fabulous! I may want to make these for my sister's bridal shower. Do you have measurements for the bow?
