A family friend was being promoted to Lt. Colonel, and asked me to make this for the party at which I was told a lot of influential people would be present. I love these guys so much; they always tried to help me out via word of mouth advertising, and they were just the sweetest people.

They'd just asked for a sheet cake with the silver leaf, and I asked for creative license. I think we both wound up happier.
