This was my first wedding cake. The border around the base is made to look like tree bark. The picture does not show the texture very well, but in person it looked very nice. The flowers are my first gumpaste flowers. The cake stand is a cross-cut tree trunk that my husband made. The second picture is a miniature version that the bride wanted for her daughter and step-daughter.
