This cake was made for a girl turning fifteen who loves Lady Gaga. Each section and element represents one of her clothing looks. The bubbles for the bubble dress were made of gelatin, the purple wires to represent the wire dress were floral wire covered in fondant, the origami dress was represented by the triangular 3d pieces on the center left and were made with black fondant painted gold, the feathers on center right were made with gumpaste and to represent the crazy bird nest headpiece she wore, the mask is gumpaste with pearl, silver and gold dust and is to represent her"Poker Face" video mirrored mask, the microphone is made to look like her rhinestone mic (gold are not edible rhinestones), and the top layer is to represent two other outfits she wore. The shoe on top is RKT with modeling chocolate and sanding sugar, and the jewelry is fondant and gumpaste. Finally the board and mini cake are painted to match the birthday girl's dress for the party. It was a ton of work but since I love Lady Gaga I had a blast and am thrilled with the outcome!
