Practice Cake

Here is a cake I made so I could practice some new techniques. I baked a 6" round chocolate mude cake and covered it in dark choc ganache and giving it sharp crisp edges. I then covered in fondant which I had some troubles with as it was a bad batch which kept on cracking around the edges. I attempted to paint it silver but has left brush strokes so i have now decided I need to invest in an airbrush machine. The piping needs a little perfecting but will come with practice and time. The flower is gumpaste and worked out well. TFL
