This is a Darth Maul cake I made for a boy's birthday. I had planned to use styrofoam to create the neck and lift his head to be more realistic but at that point I was still very weak after having been sick for days, so he simply go the head. He was still thrilled. It is stacked 8 in round cakes then carved to shape. All covered in MM fondant and a MM fondant hood placed over it all. The striping and ther details were handpainted. The eyes are made of yellow and orange Mike n Ikes cndies pressed together then placed over the white MM fondant eyeball.
