my first wedding cake...and I made it for my Mom :) tried something different with my buttercream filings....was worried- but everyone was so impressed and loved it- so I'll b doing it again im sure! all tiers were different flavors-- white cake with lemoncream filing; chocolate cake with orangecream filing, strawberry cake with bananacream filing; then for the bride & groom top tier I made a basic white cake with buttercream fiilng. The cake was covered in all BC. I used my cricket for the 1st time (that my Mom bought me..lol) and designed the hearts around the cake with SI fondant, also used the SI fondant for the flowers around the border. Took me two days from start to finish. It was hell, but super happy it turned out and everyone loved it :)
