Oh 58 on Cake Central

Hazelnut/choc chip cake with hazelnut buttercream icing and filling/also fudge filling. I drizzled the cake layers with Kahlua. I made a raised stand out of plywood and dowel rods and carved the cake on the stand to the helicopter shape. I iced in butttercream and covered with marshmallow fondant. I then added all of the parts which were made of gumpaste, some handpainted with airbrush colors. The base was iced with buttercream and airbrushed with brown color. The skids were made of heavy floral wire covered in fondant and the rotar blades, stabilizer, and tail rotar blades were made of foam core.
