Buttercream Flower Cupcakes
200 miniature cupcakes and 80 large cupcakes...all Dark Chocolate cake with Chocolate Grand Marnier buttercream.
Thanks to all the CC Members I PM'ed for piping info!! I hadn't done much flower piping before and you really helped me out.
Yellow roses, pink pansies & white daisies...with a 6" triple-layer cake on top to match.
Beautiful presentation! All of your flowers came out wonderfully! Congrats on such an excellent job!
Really beautiful presentation....I just love your stand!
I love this set up! Always delivering beautiful work!
I've added this to my favourites. I love the beautiful cupcake stands. And the cupcakes are so perfect! Very pretty. Stunning, actually.
oops...1/3 of cupcakes were Fresh Lemon Cake, 1/3 of cupcakes were Tahitian Vanilla and 1/3 were Dark Chocolate. ALL with Grand Marnier buttercream.
WOW, this is absolutely amazing, wonderful job:)
Gorgeous! Love it :) Can I ask, how much batter do you put into each cupcake?
Gosh girl...you have been busy!! Just a amazing... beautiful job!!! I love it!!!
Great job girl. How long did it take you to make all the cupcakes? I love your display.
looks great, love the layout
Beautiful. Great job. This must have taken you a long time.
wow! your cupcakes are nice and flat..how did you achieve this? Did you trim all the tops off?
fantastic!!
Thaks everyone! It took me 3 hours to bake off all the cupcakes and about 2 hours to ice them smoothly. I buy really large cupcake papers and fill them about 1/3 cup with my batter. They bake up to just under the tops, about 1/3" short. Then I pipe in some buttercream and smooth it flat with a palette knife.
Where do you get your cupcake stands? Do you make those TOO??
no, not yet...but after scouring the web for nice ones, it is something I think I will definitely be doing one day! Anyway, this was a copy of a Martha Stewart stand made by a local carpenter in MDF. Huge stand of 36" x 36" x 24" tall!!! Holds 140 large cupcakes.
