Orange Sunset

Orange Sunset on Cake Central

This cake was delivered in a horrendous rainstorm. I can't believe it survived the trip! It took me twice as long to arrive at the venue, but we were still 30 minutes early, but because of the rain, all of the guests went straight from the ceremony site to the reception site and were sitting in the banquet hall when I arrived. My sister was with me to help bring the cakes in and when she was carrying the bottom tier the photographer, who was also just arriving, was trying to be helpful and hold the door for her wound up bumping right into the front of the cake! We had to stack it, repair it and put on the flowers with all the guests watching-ugh! The drapes are made from chocolate clay, and it was my first time making them. The cake itself is a white cake with a coconut and pineapple filling.
