Pig On A Pool Float
This pig was made for a summer party that is typically a pig roast. This year it was a beef bar-b-que so the pig got a break. He's relaxing on a pool float with a blue martini (Jello shot) His yellow arm band has the "Beef it's what's for dinner" logo on it. The float is 6 sheets of chocolate cake with pink mint chocolate chip buttercream. There was also a companion vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream for those who may not want chocolate/mint. The pig is made of 8 batches of cocoa rice krispie treats, the arms had to be wrapped with a thin layer of gumpaste to hold up in the 95 degree heat (wrapped like a cast). Ears are gumpaste also. Then the pig was covered with chocolate candy melts and smoothed for the fondant. The pink is Ameri-color Bright Pink airbrushed on. The gold chain and medallion are fondant painted with gold dust. The Speedo is green Wilton fondant. The pig was delivered with 100 Jello shots so he was the life of the party!
