Every year I make my grandma's birthday cake (which is December 25). This year I tried making a poinsettia topper out of fondant. It was my first time working with making flowers out of fondant. I used a quilting pattern on the cake too. IT was great because it hid a lot of the imperfections. The filling didn't set like I wanted so unless the cake was kept cold it began to kind of "settle" but it tasted AMAZING! When you cut into it it showed layers of red velvet and white chocolate ganache with fresh raspberries in it...it was yummy
