So, it has been a year since I made and decorated my first cake. I entered this cake in my county 4-H and FFA project show this past week. I placed first in the decorated cake division, which qualified for auction. It sold for $325. It is covered with fondant, hand stenciled with gold pearl dust, and I made all the flowers out of gumpaste and painted them with petal dust. This cake was inspired by one of my favorite tv cake designers.
